Flat Fee Probates
I probate all types and sizes of estates all over the state of Oklahoma.
Small Estate Affidavits
Some assets can be transferred by affidavit (instead of by probate). I can identify such assets and draft the necessary affidavits.
Affidavits of Death and Heirship
Sometimes an oil and gas company or bank requires an affidavit that verifies the legal heirs of a deceased person. I can help.
My Probate Process
Step 1: Free Initial Consultation
After we spend 10 or 15 minutes discussing the basics of your situation, I’ll advise you as to whether you need probate, where the probate must occur, how long it will likely take, and the flat fee I’d charge to handle it.
Step 2: Information Gathering
Should you decide to hire me, I’ll send you a questionnaire to complete and return to me, along with other relevant documents, like a copy of the will, deeds to any real property, etc.
Step 3: Case Analysis & Drafting of Legal Documents
After you’ve provided me with all relevant info, I will review everything, draft the necessary legal pleadings, and then send them to you for execution.
Step 4: Litigate the Case
As soon as you return the signed pleadings to me, I will file the case, schedule and attend all hearings, keep you posted along the way, let you know what else (if anything) you need to do, and eventually obtain a final order, at which point the property will be distributed and the estate closed.
